We believe it’s the Lord’s desire to draw the church into a deeper level of intimacy (on an individual and corporate level,) through worship and prayer. He is, as revelation 3-20 puts it “standing at the door and knocking, wanting to dine with us”. Calling us, as he did mosses to come up the holy mountain. This not only brings a blessing to us personally and corporately but also brings revelation that can save a nation, which is critical in such changing times as these.
The Lord knows what is on our heart and loves to gives us the desires of our heart, yet so often we babble out a shopping list given to us by the news on TV (because we think it’s a good thing and we ought to) and not from the supplication of our heart. Mathew 6:8-9 “And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” .
We become like what we worship so when we worship Jesus we become like him and thus our desires are lined up with his desires (he breaks our hearts for what breaks his). This is why if we have a theology of worship that is about singing of songs it never gets us past the gates of praise. But if our theology of worship is about a surrendered heart and life (Rom 12:1) we can go into a deeper intimacy, where heaven and earth can meet and the infinite can touch the finite in the most holy place.
We believe also, the Lord “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” 1Tim2:4 and in Habakkuk 2:14 “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. The earth is already filled with the Glory of God but the world needs to know the knowledge of the glory, however Rom 10:14 goes on to say14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent?
Our call is to make known the glory/goodness of God, to facilitate, teach, release and encourage the church into a deeper level of intimacy with the Lord. The Northern Power house (awakening prayer), WINGS bible school and open air missions amongst many others things this year have been ways of bringing this about.
We are so grateful to the team of partners who enable this to happen, through there encouragement, pray, logistical and financial support. Without them this would not happen.
